Kazim-Richards Confident Ahead Of Champions League Game
Tuesday 08 April 2008 at 10:45 Fenerbache are full of confidence ahead of their Champions League quarter-final against Chelsea, according to the English representative in their side.
Colin Kazim-Richards thinks Tuesday's game is one of the biggest in the club's history and the Turkish side has seen their odds slide to 10/1 with William Hill to win at Stamford Bridge.
Kazim-Richards is looking forward to the game and said: "Chelsea at home are a great team and win a lot of games. We are here with confidence and have a great coach.
"We are winning the game at the moment which gives us confidence rather than coming here 1-0 down."
Fenerbache are 2-1 ahead from the first-leg, where Kazim-Richards began the teams fightback after an early own goal had put Chelsea ahead. However, Kazim-Richards is unlikely to start at Stamford Bridge despite his first leg heroics.
Kazim-Richards joined Fenerbache last year for £1.3 million from Sheffield United, after seasons spent in the lower leagues of English football with Bury and Brighton.
Chelsea are seen as strong favourites for the game, having not been beaten at Stamford Bridge since March 2004, but the London giants need to score. Avram Grant's men are 2/7 with Paddy Power to beat the Turkish team.
