Championship Ambitions Rest On Black Country Derby
Tuesday 15 April 2008 at 12:06 West Brom can go to the top of the Championship table if they beat Wolves in the Black Country derby at Molineux tonight.
The Baggies are priced at 8/5 with Ladbrokes to win and cement their position as favourites for the title.
Manager Tony Mowbray has highlighted the player his West Brom team need to fear, in the form of Wolves striker Sylvan Ebanks-Blake.
Mowbray told the Daily Star: "He has made an obvious difference to their season, adding an extra ingredient to their team.
"I didn't feel we needed to add at that time but the bottom line is he has done exceptionally well. He is a talented young boy."
West Brom are currently one point behind Championship leaders Stoke with a game in hand and could open a two-point lead with a win over their local rivals.
A play-off place is the ambition for Wolves as they aim to pull themselves level with sixth-placed Crystal Palace. They have odds of 8/5 with bet365 to pull off a win.
