Trainer Is Very Happy With Patsy Hall
Friday 18 April 2008 at 11:47 Tony Martin is aiming to win another major horse racing prize and is happy with the progress Patsy Hall is making in preparation for the Scottish Grand National.
Odds for the Irish eight-year-old have come in to 10/1 with betdirect for victory in Saturday's race at Ayr.
Trainer Martin told PA Sport: "He seems well and I was very happy with him at Cheltenham where he ran very well and jumped great until the last.
"Stamina might be an issue, but he has won on soft ground over three miles before and we'd be hoping he just lacked a run last time, he'd not run for a long time since the Hennessy."
The presence of top weight Halcon Genelardais means that only three horses are in the handicap proper for Saturday's race.
Old Benny has been trimmed to 6/1 with Coral for the Scottish Grand National and the Cheltenham Festival winner is now joint favourite with Miko De Beauchene.
