West Brom Retain Lead In Championship
Monday 21 April 2008 at 11:47 West Bromwich Albion have maintained their two-point lead at the top of the Championship after a 2-1 win at Norwich.
There are only two games to go till the end of the season and the Baggies are in to 1/4 with Paddy Power to lift the trophy.
West Brom boss Tony Mowbray said after the game: "It's been a very good week for us and all credit to the players because they've had to play six games in the space of 18 days and it hasn't been easy for them."
Goals from Robert Koren and Zoltan Gera won the points at Carrow Road which keeps the Baggies in top spot, with a considerably superior goal difference over their main challengers.
They finish the season with a home game against relegation-troubled Southampton, before travelling to QPR for the final match.
Stoke City are the second favourites for the title at 11/4 with Stan James following their 2-1 victory over promotion rivals Bristol City on Saturday.
