Chelsea United Ahead Of Semi-final
Tuesday 22 April 2008 at 11:40 John Terry insists that Chelsea's players are fully behind Avram Grant ahead of their Champions League semi-final against Liverpool.
The Blues head into tonight's first-leg at Anfield with odds of 13/5 with William Hill to win the game.
Manager Grant remains unpopular with sections of Chelsea supporters and captain Terry spoke to dismiss reports of player unrest.
"We are totally behind the manager. There are no people walking out the door and talking behind each other's backs," he said.
It is the third time in four seasons that the two teams have met in the semi-finals of the Champions League and Liverpool are hoping to complete a hat-trick of successes.
Terry said: "We have lost to Liverpool on the two previous occasions and that burning feeling is something that will never go away, but one thing that will ease it is to go on and reach the final and lift the trophy."
Chelsea received a major boost with Frank Lampard's return to the squad after missing the last two games whilst he spent time with his mother who is suffering from pneumonia.
Liverpool are priced at 27/20 with Centrebet to gain a first-leg advantage to take to Stamford Bridge next Wednesday.
