United Favourites To End Hammers Horror
Friday 02 May 2008 at 09:49
Manchester United must forget about the Champions League final and concentrate on beating their bogey team on Saturday if they are to stay in control of the Premier League title race.
Sir Alex Ferguson's side are level on points with Chelsea but know that a superior goal difference will ensure they retain the title if they can win their remaining games against West Ham United and Wigan Athletic.
The situation has seen them installed as 1/3 favourites for the title with Skybet, while Chelsea are best-priced at 11/4 with Betfred.
However, the Red Devils go into Saturday's clash with West Ham at Old Trafford knowing that they have lost their last three games against the Hammers.
Despite the form line the champions are 2/11 with Boylesports to win the match, while West Ham can be backed at 16/1 with Paddy Power to continue the sequence.
Chelsea are 8/13 with VC Bet to win at Newcastle United on Monday and keep the title race alive.
The Magpies are unbeaten in their past seven matches and have not lost a home league game against Chelsea since 2001, but can be backed to win at 5/1 with Bet 365.
