Murtagh Gets Tilt At Chester Cup

Johnny Murtagh has been handed an unexpected chance to win the Chester Cup after being given the ride on Tilt.
The Irishman piloted Henrythenavigator to victory in Saturday's 2000 Guineas and now has the opportunity to record another big race success at Chester on Wednesday.
Trainer Brian Ellison had expected Tom Eaves to ride Tilt - best-priced 14/1 at 888Sport - but had to look elsewhere when his first choice was unavailable.
"We rang round to see who was there and we've got Johnny Murtagh. He's one of the best jockeys in Europe. You've got to have bottle for those big races and he's got plenty," said Ellison.
Tilt finished second behind Double Banded in last month's Intercasino.co.uk Handicap at Nottingham and will renew his rivalry with the John Dunlop-trained stayer on Wednesday.
Double Banded is best-priced at 11/2 with Sportingbet, with Totesport BetXtra Handicap winner Highland Legacy 9/2 favourite at Bet365.
Last year's winner Greenwich Meantime is 9/1 third favourite at Skybet despite not having won a race in the intervening period, while top weight Shipmaster can be backed at 12/1 with Totesport following his success in the Sagaro Stakes at Ascot last month.
