Benson Suggest Hamilton Can Win F1 Drivers Championship

McLaren-Mercedes racer Lewis Hamilton has a good chance of winning the F1 Drivers Championship following his performance at Silverstone yesterday.
At least this is what has been suggested by BBC Sport's motor racing expert Andrew Benson, who implied that punters will be taking a risk backing anyone else to take this year's title on the back of Hamilton's victory at the British Grand Prix.
"After a performance like that on Sunday, who would bet against Hamilton, this time, going all the way?," Mr Benson remarked.
Hamilton, who is now joint-first in the rankings on 48 points along with Ferrari's Felipe Massa and Kimi Raikkonen, is 7/4 second favourite to win the championship at Boylesports.
According to the odds, he has less chance of being victorious than reigning champion Raikkonen (7/5, Sportingbet), but is a better prospect than Massa (9/2, Totesport).
BMW-Sauber's Robert Kubica, who is fourth in the rankings with 46 points, is the only other driver given a realistic shot at glory by the bookmakers, with Bet 365 offering odds of 22/1 on a win for Pole.
