Ibn Khaldun is capable of ending New Approach's unbeaten run and winning Saturday's 2000 Guineas at Newmarket, according to his owners and jockey.
The Godolphin colt is second favourite (9/2 with Stan James) for the season's first classic, having won the Racing Post Trophy at Doncaster last October.
