Three-time Wimbledon mens champion Boris Becker has said he was not surprised by Marat Safin's straight sets victory over third favourite Novak Djokovic in the second round yesterday.
The German told BBC Sport that Safin, who is now 66/1 at Sportingbet to win the Grand Slam, has clearly been putting in the work over the last few months and suggested that when a former world number one does that, good results tend to follow.

Northumberland Plate Outsider Needs Dry Ground, Say Trainer

The trainer of Inchnadamph has suggested his horse needs it to be dry if he is to perform well in the Northumberland Plate this weekend.
Tim Fitzgerald was quoted by the Liverpool Daily Post as saying the mount, who is 33/1 to win the race at Totesport, is in decent shape - but implied some downpours could seriously hamper his chances.
