Back England and Wilkinson to put South Africa to the sword
|
The Rugby World Cup Final on Saturday may come down to who wants the trophy the most. Motivation and complacency have played a key role in the tournament and the ultimate prize will go to the team whose squad and management have more fire in their bellys.
There are over 30 markets and hundreds of prices on the final from 20/1 with Paddy Power on any player to be sent off to Bet 365 with their 18/1 that Phil Vickery will score at any time.
Boylesports have the best price on England at 5/2 while Blue Square, Ladbrokes and Sportingbet have 2/5 on the South Africans.
Johnny wilkinson is englands talisman and many firms have the mercurial fly half in special markets.
In the Semi final and the 2003 final wilkinsons boot clinched both matches with a drop goal and VC Bet are offering a refund if a Johnny drop goal is the last scoring play of this match. Could it happen again?
ADVISED: England @ 5/2 with Boylesports at time of writing.

Boylesports and Ladbrokes are the top priced firms at 4/1 for a France V Argentina final. The new favourites South Africa have wobbled recently and we expect the teams in the final game of the tournament curiously to be the same as the first game of the tournament.
Advised: The final to be France v Argentina @4/1 with Boylesports and Ladbrokes.(currently available)

Bet 365 have a stand out 11/5 on Dan Carter being top points scorer in the overall competition. By his standards he had a poor game against the Scots but will surely bounce back.
His main rival the enigmatic South African Percy Douglas is now best priced at 11/8 with SkyBet whilst being odds on with other major bookmakers.
Advised: Dan Carter @11/5 with Bet 365 in the top points scorer market at time of writing.

Has anything changed in the betting after the opening games of the RWC?. Well New Zealand have strengthend their position as favourites, France have drifted to a bigger price after coming a cropper against Argentina and England are as poor as we thought they would be and their price reflects that.
One market that did catch my eye was predicting the finalists. New Zealand v South Africa is the overwhelming favourite as you would expect. But currently any other combination is around 6/1, that to me is outstanding value and should be snapped up. We have every other team on our side!!.
Advised:
Any other combination of finalist except New Zealand v South Africa back @6/1 with Skybet at time of writing.

The Rugby World Cup will be hosted in France during September and October of 2007. The favourites are the New Zealand All Blacks, but playing at home will be a distinct advantage to France. All major sporting events favour the host country and normally the odds are restrictive, but in this case France are a decent price and may be worth a punt. Home nations in this tournament have reached the final on 4 occasions.
