There are two great places to get answers to your questions

2. The Site Issues Forum has a number of threads such as why we dont allow editing tips and on certain subtle differences in how we score some of the tips.

Theres lots of useful information here and a good place to check on others queries get clarification. Antony is regulary there answering questions as are other tipsters.

We also make announcements there if we ever have a problem (seems better than emailing everyone!)

Why Cant I post on the forum / Why cant I send PMs

We have made some restrictions to the abilities of new members to reduce spam on the forum.  However please note that

1, Anyone can post to existing threads

2. To be able to start NEW threads and send PMs you need to have been a member for a few weeks and have made some posts.

3. We're not revealing publicly what these limits are as it will just defeat the purpose and make it easy to spam the forums again

4. We suggest you just paritcipate in exisiting threads for a few weeks and before you know it you'll have full privaledges

How Do I Edit a Tip? / Will You Change My Tip?

No editiing is possible.  See this thread

My Tips I made yesterday have disappeared.

Only future tips appear on your mytips page. To see tips from yesterday or before click on the Tips Hisrory button in the top right of the MyTips page after you login.

A horse I backed is a non-runner - do I get my money back

Yes you do, but not until the tips are processed the following morning.  In the event that an entire meeting is abandoned we do often try to return the stakes of any tips on that meeting as soon as we find out.

My Tips havent been settled

Tips should be settled by 12pm the following day. If after that time a tip is still outstanding then please do contact us or check the forum.

Ive backed horses Each Way that have finished 2nd or 3rd - why are they are showing as losers?

If your bet loses money it will be shown as a loser. Depending on the EW terms, placed horses with odds of less than 4 or 5-1 will settled at a loss. See our beginners guide to each way betting

If I back something Antepost (i.e. the result is not known until a future month) then how does this work for the tipster competition?

If you make an Antepost bet then the stake comes out when you make the bet, and the returns and profit/loss are credited to you in the month that the result is known. 

My Bank has changed?

This is covered in the rules

Your bank resets to £1000 at the start of every month.

It also increases by £100 a day (so you dont run out!).

Ive forgotten my username or password?

If you try to login and it fails you are taken to this useful page.

From there if you know your registered email address you can enter it into the box on the left and have your welcome email resent. This includes your username and password.

If you cant remember your email then there are a few possibilities

- try to find any emails or alerts from OLBG - these will be addressed to your email

- if you are still logged into the forum then go there and go to my profile. This will also show your email.

How do I change my email / password?

Select "Edit Profile" from the menu in the tipster logged in area.  There you will be able to change many of your account settings. 

How do I delete my account?

Select "Edit Profile" from the menu in the tipster logged in area.  Be warned that once you do delete your account you will not be able to open another account for 12 months.

Youve processed on of my tips incorrectly

If you feel that a tip has been processed incorrectly please report this to us. All complaints must include
1) the exact details of your tip (if you click on a tip in your tip history you'll see the full details)
2) a link to a reputable source for the correct score

Please se sure to verify your claims carefully as we reserve the right to disqualify you from the current months competition prizes for making incorrect claims.

You should also be sure that you fully understand
1) which event you have bet on (can be confusing for baseball matches in particular)
2) how the bet payout works (can be confusing for Asian Handicaps and EW bets)
3) That you have read the forum rules and tipster FAQ

Did I win a Prize / How Do I know?

Every month on the first of the month we email every tipster to annouce the result of last month and update on any changes for the coming month. Also we make a post in the Site Matters forum.

This will normally be announced between 11am and 3pm on the 1st of the month, but please dont chase us about this until the 2nd.

I thought I was due a prize but I didnt get one

Dont forget that league tables on the last day of the month dont include the final days tips. Hence its the results after those tips are processed that count. Some people do make "all or nothing" type bets on the last day and this can lead to some changes in the rankings.

I think someones cheating what should I do?

Please report it to us along with any evidence you have. We try very hard to run a fair competition but it is difficult for us to completely stop this.
