Loughran rates Moore as Royal Ascot top jockey contender

 Racing expert Angus Loughran has suggested that Ryan Moore stands a good chance of being Royal Ascot top jockey at the end of this week.
Before Johnny Murtagh established his position as favourite with wins in the Queen Anne Stakes and St James's Palace Stakes, Loughran wrote in the Telegraph Moore "is certainly worth a second glance" at 3/1.
Odds on the 2006 Champion Jockey have since moved out, with William Hill offering 11/2 on the Englishman.
Meanwhile, Murtagh - who was handed a three-day ban for overuse of the whip while riding Haradasun in the Queen Anne - is now odds on at the bookies, with 1/2 available from Stan James.
Loughran added that Mick Kinane (40/1, Stan James) is the jockey to watch out for as far as the outsiders are concerned, adding that "no jockey rides Ascot better".
Jamie Spencer, 2007's Flat Jockey of the Year, is the third favourite at 8/1 with Boylesports.
Today's big races at Royal Ascot are the Prince of Wales Stakes (15:45 BST) and the Royal Hunt Cup (16:20), with Duke of Marmalade (13/8, Paddy Power) and Bankable (2/1, Bet 365) the respective favourites.
