American Star hasn't won since his juvenile days with Ed Walker, when winning twice. Joined Ruth Carr's yard last year and after a fair first effort, seemed to go backwards in two follow up runs and two subsequent runs after returning from a layoff. On the face of it, has plenty of improving to do but has things in his favour tonight, that could see an upturn in form.
