Manxman is capable of running over any condition and may be the strongest horse here. There's competitors such as The Thunderer (second choice), but Manxman should get the job done here.

Comes into this well and genuinely holds a strong chance despite market value. Salamanca Lad rides well over softer conditions and may be the better bearer over heavy, but I think ground will be less testing than presented. Salamanca Lad was 2L off winner in Chelsmford. Latest flat appearance was disappointing but ground was more firm than soft. Won at Thirsk four races back and looks to head in a front-running position once more.

Land Of Magic is a 5f/7f winner, and stamina raises concerns. However, rivals aren't convicing either and Land Of Magic's last performance in Goodwood was impressive whening losing by a neck. Land Of Magic races well over conditions and I wouldn't be surprised seeing Land Of Magic running a good race here. E/W is nessecary but a win is also on the cards.
