I'm hoping the key to this horse is good ground, three runs on the surface and he's been beat 1L, 4 1/2L and 3 3/4L, in those races he's been in and among horses now rated between 95 and 115 so this mark of 95 offers possibilities. His Novice and Bumper form compares well with those at the head of the market and should still be open to improvement having just his 2nd handicap run this afternoon.

Has gone well off a break in the past including when running 2nd at York over 1m 4f, beat Intrinso 2L that day getting 2lb today gets 7lb from the same rival, he's much better over this longer trip and the drying ground will suit (ignore last run on soft). Has run 3 times over this trip on Good/GF 1-1-2 and the "2" was Trawlerman who won the Ebor on his next start and has since won a group 2.

Ran a cracker here in the Cambridgeshire off 85, runs today off just 80, best runs have all been at this track and last win was here also off 85. Drying ground is a positive and trainer doesn't usually waste his petrol sending them down here from North Yorkshire, double figure price adds to the appeal.

I could really fancy this if I knew it was 100% ready to go, it has won off a break in the past but recent years has needed a run. Last two wins have been over CD off 94 and 92, he runs off 88 today, he likes soft ground and hasn't run in a class 3 since winning here last season.

Beaten just over 1L over CD off 57 in July, today runs off an effective 42 with Jockey claiming 7lb, was just beat again later in the season off 54. Last win came off and effective 66 last season on Soft ground at Thirsk, he ran a nice race here in September when 3rd off 69 in this grade and was beat just 1L off 70 in this race last season. Runs off an effective 60 today with a run under his belt should be spot on for this.

Ignore his run in the Spring mile at Doncaster, he was drawn 18/18, only 1 runner from double figures got in the first 7 and 15-18 were all in the last 6 home. Better judged by his neck second in the race the previous year were he gave Clear Angel 13lb and a beating, in August he gave the same horse 5lb and a beating, today he gives the same horse just 2lb and is double the price.

Not sure why this is so big, handles soft ground, two wins last year came off 56 and 59 (off 57 today). If you look at his run in Nottingham in August he had two of the joint favs today just in front of him, he's 5lb better off with one of them and 1lb better with the other and was beat less than a length by both, he's 11's and there 9/2.
