His three hurdle wins have come in field sizes of 17 runners or more, the latest when beating 19 rivals in a Cork handicap last time out so he is accustomed to these competitive events and has a win at the Galway Festival for further proof. The form of his Cork win last time already looks solid with the runner up Cheerful Chap winning twice since.

One of two English raiders from the in form Tom Lacey stable (3 winners from ten runners in the past week) and both have shown progressive winning form this season. Montregard on the face of it appears to have plenty more improvement to come with just the four hurdle starts, winning twice with a huge leap forward coming on latest start at Wetherby at the end of March. This is obviously very competitive and his toughest test to date but this looks like a well planned target considering his top owner.

Won two of his last three starts, the latest producing a career best back on the turf at Bath last time scoring by over eight lengths in an Apprentice Handicap for this rider. Unpenalised for that, he can actually race off a three lb lower mark taking into account the jockey's claim so has an obvious chance of following up even in this tougher looking contest.

Appeared to appreciate the step up to 21 furlongs for the first time when scoring at Exeter last time, the form has already been franked with the runner up an easy winner next time out. Both wins have come on soft or heavy ground so will find conditions much less testing here, he does have decent form on good to soft so should cope. Another step up in trip here so going into the unknown but the manner of his victory last time suggests it's worth a try to bring further improvement.

Broke his maiden tag at the sixth attempt on seasonal return and first start after being gelded, the latter presumably a contributory factor to his career best last time. Saw this distance out well on heavy ground at Thirsk so this stiff uphill finish here should play to his strengths.

Broke her maiden tag over hurdles at the tenth attempt when an easy winner over course and distance here thirteen days ago. That was her first run after wind surgery which clearly had a positive effect on her and there's every chance she'll improve again on second start after as is often the case. The question mark is whether this will come too soon having been off the track 350 days prior to winning here last time.

Back to back career best efforts on his last two starts, signing off last season with a 7 furlong win at Doncaster on heavy ground and then returned in great heart beating seventeen rivals back at Doncaster last month on heavy again but recording his first win at a mile proving he stays this trip in testing conditions. These conditions are a little quicker but he has a win on good ground so should cope fine and despite his reputation of being a little unreliable there is no reason to doubt his current form which incidentally has been without the usual cheekpieces. He's proven in these well run big fields so could easily out perform his large odds.

Made a great start to his hurdling career winning three of his five starts, goes for the three timer here after back to back wins at Kelso the latest being the valuable Morebattle Hurdle. Beat sixteen rivals last time so is accustomed to these competitive fields and will relish these soft conditions, he finished really strongly in the Morebattle so a strongly run race which is likely, will suit.

Beat twelve rivals at Naas on Tuesday and looks worth supporting if allowed to take his chance again this quickly. Seems very versatile distance wise having produced comparable form over two miles, 20 furlongs and three miles. He goes over 17 furlongs here, slightly further than Tuesday so it shouldn't be an issue and despite the fact he's only won twice from fourteen starts over hurdles he does appear to be in good form having finished a decent 2nd of 20 at Cork prior to winning this week.

His best two efforts have come here at Ayr which adds confidence, the latest last time out when breaking his maiden tag over hurdles at the ninth attempt. Interestingly that was his first run at two miles having been campaigned previously around 20 furlongs. The drop in trip seemingly doing the trick and he stays at two miles here and having finished 2nd here on soft ground over 18 furlongs these conditions should bring his stamina into play.

She won last time out producing a career best and that followed a runner up effort at Market Rasen on Boxing Day, a race whcih has seen six of the nine runners place since then and three win including Gilbertina.

Beat a previous winner when finally breaking her maiden tag at the 13th attempt over hurdles at Newcastle last time. That was over just short of 17 furlongs on heavy ground and the way she battled to break her duck she should be able to see out this extra furlong here. She has finished runner up over 17 furlongs on soft ground at Carlisle which is a stiff track which also favours her chances of being as effective at this distance.

Broker her maiden tag over hurdles at the 11th attempt at Carlisle last time, doing particularly well as she was 5lb out of the handicap. She drops back to just short of 23 furlongs here but she did post a good effort when 3rd over course and distance at 80/1 back in January. There's a few in opposition here who like to be up with the pace which hopefully should ensure a decent gallop which will bring her stamina into play.

With two wins and a T2 in his last three events shows why Scottie is a fairly short priced favourite to win his second Masters at Augusta. Considering he currently sits 3rd (67.50) for First Round Scoring average on the PGA stats this season his FRL odds are more than double his odds to win the Masters outright so he looks an obvious pick for this market.

One of the best players in the world yet to win a major and this will be his seventh Masters so has plenty of experience of Augusta, six is the average number of Masters events for maiden winners. Xander has decent recent form with a T2 at the Players Championship in March and is the fourth best player here this week for Greens In Regulation on the PGA Tour this season which is always a decent pointer for Augusta. He has two top fives at the Masters previously with a T2 the best in 2019.

Won four of his last five starts, his last time out victory in a Class 3 at Ascot in February is all the more impressive as not only did he beat six next time winners (one a dual winner) marking it really solid form but it was also his first start after 482 days off the track. That was a career best effort and is an individual that has been lightly raced in recent seasons so there could be more improvement to come for a stable which continues in very good form. Has form on heavy ground but best form is on slightly easier conditions so won't mind it if the ground goes good to soft.

Broke is maiden tag over hurdles at the fifteenth attempt when doing well to win back at two miles here at Wincanton last time and having to survive interference on two occasions. That form looks pretty solid with the runner up winning at Uttoxeter on Saturday after finishing a close runner up on previous start. Steps back up to 21 furlongs for this race but he has finished 2nd at this trip here at Wincanton previously so looks worth supporting.

Lightly raced for a ten year old with just the twelve career starts under his belt so there should be room for more improvement. He arrives on the back of a career best having won here at Fairyhouse by 21 lengths last time over slightly further. Ten lb higher mark to defy here which makes things tougher but looks worth his place in this valuable event on ground conditions that will suit.

Made all the running when an easy winner at Doncaster last week so we know he's in good heart and with Mia Nicholls' five lb claim here he can race off the same mark as last week so has an obvious chance on these terms. Won twice on soft ground and stays six furlongs so these testing conditions shouldn't pose a problem especially if trying to dictate again from the front.

In great form at present chasing the three timer here after going through the grades winning back to back in a class 4 at Ayr (form which has worked out well) and then in a class 3 last time at Kelso. Only three lb higher here and is definitely worth his place in this class 2 event, the tongue tie is retained which seems to have sparked the upturn in form as it's been on for the last two wins.
