Placed 3 times but has never won and doesn't really stand out in this race, which is probably why she is such a big price. (50's and 66's with most, but 125's with 365) My reason for this pick, the trainer Peter Fahey, who has won this race twice in the last 3 years with double digit odds of 14-1 and 40-1, so worth a small cheeky ew.

Has gone off like a train in the two races for this stable, both over 7f and has looked quite nippy. First time with no head-gear and lto in the blinkers that she ran her best race to date when 2nd on the aw at Wolves (when she was blocked in for most of the race and finished well) for Archie Watson. A few things that put her in with a shout today are, first run on turf, down in trip to 5f and a hood goes back on which will hopefully help calm her down. Even if she flies off again, she will likely last better over this shorter trip.

First handicap race today and as this went off lto at a very short price and run a a bit of a stinker, i'm hoping for better today with Tom Marquand on top. The fact that there was no explination for the poor run could mean a couple of things, lower mark or just needed the run, either way i'll have an ew bet.

Returned from a break and having had a wind op to win at Donny back in March, it's best race to date. I just don't think Aintree is a favotite course for Densworth and was pulled up again there nto. Seems an all or nothing horse and if conditions suit today and the mood is right, it just might win.

No guts no glory and at 150-1 this looks a steal. More was expected on debut and only went off at 16-1 over 1m 2f. It was a decent race and this is no where near as hot, so imo has decent ew chances dropping in trip.

2yo season was fairly average looking, but looked better over 8f on first and third starts than the 7f and wasn't given a hard ride in any of them. Drops back to 8f today after being tried over 1m 3f a couple of weeks ago on the aw and now goes in a hood. Shrewd trainer might think Moutarde is sitting on a nice mark so a cover bet for me here.

Summer Snow is up 7lb, has a bad draw and i'm not sure this trip will help either. Master Garvey now looks too high in the weights and Breezy Zoff has been out of form, but drying conditions could help there. Play It Again Zaam was under 3l behind todays fav SS from a bad draw lto and runs off the same mark with a better draw today and will enjoy the extra furlong and has decent winning chances imo, but is a solid ew bet.

As much as i think Hale Bopp is probably the best ew shot here as mentioned in my win tip, i feel drawn to MBG who ran well lto on first run this season over 1m 1f coming 5th and although this drop doesn't look ideal imo, based on that last run, looks to have improved a lot on last season and goes in cheek pieces today.

I am going to take a chance on Dream Selection and that the trainer knows what he's doing by stepping up in trip today. This makes no sense to me so i guess i'm missing something, but i can't work out why this is 6-1 and the fav Star Pupil is 2-1 when Boadicia beat it lto when a close up 3rd (by a neck) at Kempton, with SP 2l back in 5th. Same again with more improvement and could win this.

This race looks wide open to me and CP was just 1l down on Apache Outlaw lto on the aw and that one is half the price. Won the race before that so back up to 84, but i'm not sure the ceiling has been hit just yet. Current fav Stag Night is effectivley up 14lb taking into account the 10lb claimer for that win and don't know what to make of Tough Talk, the next 3-4 in the market are all decent shouts at double figures, but CP in the money for me.

Currently 66-1 with 3 firms, an ew bet must go on Clever And Classy who only ran on Saturday, 2days ago, and if trainer is going to run her again, he must have been disappointed with that run and think she can redeem today. Speedy type who was running well up with the pace and i think took a knock and/or got a bit sandwiched 1-2 furlongs from the finish and that could well have knocked her out of stride, so will give her another chance.

Another long odds small ew bet on Sheila Lavery's Breath Again who blew the start on debut on the aw 2 months ago and lost over 10l to the leaders. Wasn't given a hard time in the home straight finishing second to last losing by 10l. I'm hoping they've been working on the start's and if getting away on terms this time, might show a lot more second time around.

Akeela is making her handicap debut in this lottery of a race which is also an amatuer race. Had an aw race for fitness about 4 weeks ago, and to get mark, and based on a maiden race in June last year which had some nice horses in it, (one rates 90 another has won multiple times) could have a chance today.

Spirit Of Eagles is drifting even further at 70-1 as i type and this is an amatuers race so small stakes ew. Noted this horse last year at Down Royal when 3rd and should have won when out the h/c running into a cul de sac but showed a decent turn of speed. Jockey is off putting but you never know.

It does seem a little mad to be taking on Arabian Crown in this race and it should win, but there have been a few from this stable this year that haven't performed first up and lost it's only race first up last year, so there's hope. This one beat an odds on fav in only race comfortably by 2l and looked a big horse 7 months ago, so what size will it be now? PR is one of five horses having first run and if it's grown a lot, may well need this run, but could have really strengthend up and cause a shock.

Returned to the track 11 days ago for debut for this yard as well as debut over hurdles after nearly 2 years. Final run in Ireland on the flat over 1m 5f wasn't too bad at all and if can transfer that kind of speed in this race over this shorter distance today, could nick a place at huge odds.
