His best race was over 7f when finishing 4th by under 1L in January at Lingfield and he runs off 2lb lower than that mark today. Trainer is now in form and experienced jockey Neil Callan is booked to ride.

Her course figures read 62222 and I always like a horse with good course experience here as it's such a unique track. The 6th place finish at her last visit to the course was in a listed race so that can be excused. LTO she finished 5th at Chelmsford but that was over 7f for the first time in her life and she usually needs a run to blow off the cobwebs after a break so that can be excused. She's down 2lbs from that run, and 7lbs lower than her 2nd place here last season.

Only 2 places in this 6 runner Cheshire Oaks but Lasting Love could be a good each way bet at the odds. She finished 3rd on debut at Doncaster in a 30k maiden race but she was best of the newcomers that day. She then finished 0.75L 3rd at Newbury LTO after 7 months off the track and she was really unlucky not to get her head in front that day. She's definitely going to improve this season and the good ground today with the step up in trip could help her chances in this race.

Beat King's Merchant (who is 11/4 for this race today) with ease on debut. Couldn't follow up next time out at Pontefract but he was upped to 6f on very heavy ground and didn't break well that day, and he was also under a penalty for the debut win. Happy to put a line through that run and take an each way chance on him today dropping back to 5f, with better ground and a decent draw.

Really like the chances of this horse today. He ran extremely well last month at Brighton after nearly 2 years off. He surely only improves from that, and has been lowered 2lbs for that run. It's a punt but I'm happy to take it with 4 places on offer.

The good ground today will be huge for Cuban Court's chances. He finished an excellent 4L 2nd at Doncaster in January and then finished a poor 8th over the same course and distance next time out in March. The ground was heavy that day and I've got a feeling he doesn't like it. Back on good ground today running off only 1lb higher than the Doncaster 2nd and 4 places on offer.

Won over C&D 11 months agoon soft ground off a mark of 53. Runs off 3lb lower today and a return to this track could spark a revival having tailed off towards the end of last season. She finished 0.5L 2nd on her reappearance last season so the 209 days break doesn't concern me too much. I think 20/1 is decent odds for a recent C&D winner on a good handicap mark. I also fancy CLOTHERHOLME each-way in this race but not able to tip more than one horse EW on the site.

This horse had some very good runs last season over 6f, finishing 3rd at Newmarket, 4th over C&D in a novice race, 2nd on the July course at Newmarket before winning a maiden at Nottingham on soft ground over 5f next time out. He's yet to win a handicap but I think he's still on a decent mark and his good 3rd on reappearance last season was after a 5 month break. A lot of money has come in for this horse today and I think he could put up a good showing here.

Dr Rio was in good form last season. In July he won over C&D and also finished a close 2nd over C&D next time out. He is now only 1lb above that win and 3lbs under his second place mark. What interests me most about this horse is how he has been ridden. Last season under trainer Paul Midgley he was ridden prominent up top by jockey Graham Lee but since transferring over to Declan Carroll he has been ridden far off the pace by apprentice jockey Zak Wheatley. Experienced jockey Harrison Shaw is booked to ride today, so may we see a change of tactics? I may be clutching at straws but worth a bet at 18/1.

I don't think this race will have a strong pace today so I'm taking a chance on Powdering who likes to be ridden up near the front. The wide draw is a slight concern but she usually breaks really well. She has been in great form recently on the all weather winning over 7f at Wolverhampton 2 runs ago and then a brilliant 3rd from a wide draw LTO at Chelmsford. She has good turf form and won't mind any cut in the ground

Think 11/1 each way in an 8 runner handicap is really good value for Under Curfew today. LTO he finished 4L 5th at Nottingham but that was after 7 months off so hopefully that's blew away the cobwebs. Showed some really good form last season with 8 top 3 finishes from 13 runs. He's dropped to a mark of 57 and finished a brilliant 2nd over C&D in September from 3lbs higher. A lot of the horses in this race seem to want to always lead, and he doesn't so I'm hoping he can pick off the leaders at the finish.

I think 11/1 for this horse today could be very good value.LTO she finished a good 3rd at Newcastle after 4 months off and should improve from that run today. Last season she put up some really good performances over 7f - finishing 2nd in 2 maiden races and then won at Newcastle in August. She went up to a mark of 69 after that win but finished a close 2nd off that mark at Ayr. I'm convinced she's still not hit her peak handicap mark and fancy her to at least place today.

Had this horse in my tracker after his debut and I think he could reverse form with The Actor today. He was very green on his debut and seemed to get very unbalanced but ran on at the finish. I think he would have learned a lot from that run and was expecting shorter odds than 5/1 today.

This is an interesting runner for Gavin Cromwell today. Ran her last 5 races on the all weather and hasn't done too well, but finished a promising 1.75L 4th LTO. She's 3lb above her last winning mark but placed over this trip at the Curragh off a mark of 80 in October. She won't mind the soft ground at all and I think she could run well today.

Ramatuelle has some great form and I think 8/1 is too good not to back today. In August she finished a shoulder behind the excellent Vandeek in the Group 1 Prix Morny over 6f and was unlucky not to win that race and Vandeek then went onto win the Group 1 Middle Park stakes. LTO Ramatuelle finished 0.5L behind Romantic Style in a Group 3 race at Deauville but she ran on well and that's proof that she has trained on, which is a bit of an uncertainty with the others in this race.

In brilliant form last season winning 4 in a row and then finishing 2nd on his final start of the season. I'm happy to put a line through his only run of 2024, as that was his first run in7 months and I'm not convinced the horse likes the all weather as he does all his running on grass. He beat some good horses last season and those handicap wins were strong races. I'm pretty confident that he's still not near his peak handicap mark. He stays the distance and is still on a decent handicap mark. Trainer and jockey are in good form as well.

I fancied this horse LTO at Bath where he finished 4th, 3.5L behind the winner. That day he was ridden off the pace, and the top 3 were all prominent up top. I'm hoping for a stronger ran race today so the selection can pick off a few at the end. He's still on a winnable mark, performs well on soft ground, and Ella Fryer takes off a further 7lb today.

Won the Kentucky Jockey Club stakes over 1m here. Ben Curtis was quoted as saying 'You know he's going to stay the trip, which is a question mark on a lot of the others' and if he relishes the distance he could be bang in there at the end, especially if the pace burns out. The sloppy going is my only slight concern, and probably why he isn't shorter than 16/1, but he ran with credit in the Risen Star Stakes on sloppy ground at Fair Grounds in February.

This is an interesting horse who started his career in Ireland last year and put up some decent performances over 1m3f/1m4f. He is quite consistent having not finished outside of the top 4 since his debut and he is probably the most unexposed horse in this race. He ran well in his 2 races so far this year which were both over hurdles so I can't see this distance being an issue for him either. His mark of 70 seems fair and Aiden Brookes takes off a valuable 5lbs.

Lightly raced for a 4 year old having only made his debut at 3 and he's definitely shown ability over 6f. LTO he raced over a mile and clearly didn't see out the trip, and that's the same story when racing over 7f at Wolverhampton 3 runs ago. He finished 4/9 over C&D in April and ran a good race seeing as he started really slowly and was way too far off the pace to begin with. In October he ran over 6f at Chelmsford but absolutely blew the start and was miles behind within secondsso that run can be excused. The race before that however, he won over C&D on handicap debut off 2lbs higher than todays mark. The jockey that day was Benoit De La Sayette and he returns to the saddle for the first time since that run. He's a jockey in good form and knows what he needs to do with this horse today.

Alyanaabi has 3.5L to make up on City of Troy and whilst I genuinely don't think he'll beat him today, I think 22/1 is great odds for an each way bet. He's 17/2 to win without the favourite too. He's put up some good performances at this trip and the step up to a mile should suit. His 4th to Rosallion at Ascot has been spoken about a lot but that was his second run and has definitely improved since that.

This horse is one of only two horses that have won over C&D in this race, with his C&D win coming in April 2022. He's now 12 years old but is still putting up good PTP performances having stayed on well to win a 3m4f race in March. I think 20/1 is great odds for a C&D winner who won't mind the good ground and has a 7lb claimer on board.

I like the chances of Oakland Princess today. LTO the final furlong was quite messy and although she was in a brilliant position on the bend she ended up isolated wide, running on her own before being pretty much pulled up (not officially but the jockey completely gave up) Her 2 races before that were over todays trip and those were much better performances. I think her mark of 65 could be quite fair today - from her first 2 races she's got very close form with horses rated 84, 82, 80, 78, 77, 73, 69, 63. The trainer is in excellent form at the moment too.

On debut he beat Lark In The Mornin who won at the Aintree festival and Harsh who won here on Wednesday. Next time out he was 13/8 favourite but finished 9th (By only 10L however) and the vet said he had 'nasal discharge' during the race. I'm sure he is fit and ready for this today and if he can put up a similar performance to his debut there's no reason why he can't finish in the top 4 today

He has finished 2nd in his last 2 runs and they have both been behind a great horse in Deise Aba who was rated 142 not too long ago over fences. I think this is quite decent form and he hasn't been beat far by him. He should stay the distance having raced over 3 miles before and I think this could be a good bet at 14/1.

I may eat my words but I just cannot see that form being reversed even with the 6lb swing and the step up in trip. This horse finished a good 2nd LTO on his reappearance to the well fancied Flying Finn who won very comfortably next time out too. Summitt gave Flying Finn 9lbs that day and is now rated 11lbs below him so that form is absolutely brilliant and I think that he will be really tough to beat today. The good ground won't be an issue as he's ran really well on good ground and even firmer before.

This horse won a trial race at Punchestown in February and had 6 of todays opponents behind him that day. He's also much better at the weights than most of these as he carried joint top weight that day and todays jockey takes off 7lbs. I can't see why he wouldn't go close again today although the main danger is definitely De Nordener who may not be fully recovered from Tuesdays run here.

I prefer Bold Style over Boiling Point today. LTO Boiling Point finished a neck ahead of Bold Style but he ran the whole race out wide on his own without any option of cover. I think with better luck in running today he can reverse the form and take this race.

The heavy going today should suit Many A Star and he's been in great form this season. He spent from January to March in Meydan which didn't really work out for him but since then he's won two races and finished a neck 2nd LTO. He runs off the same mark today (2lb well in) and should put a good performance in today. The step up to Class 3 company will be no issue either as he won a Class 2 last season.

Having watched her last 3 runs over 7f I really like the chances of Zouky today. Her last run over 7f she finished 5th at Ascot in a Listed race but ran on brilliantly and finished under 1L behind the winner. She has been raised 4lbs for that run which I think is fair and dropping down in class today could be good for her. Back in September over 7f in a Class 2 she absolutely bombed towards the finish but left it far too late to catch up to Poet Master. She has ran her last 2 races over 1m and ran respectably in a Listed race at Kempton in April. With this run under her belt and the drop in trip, I'm hopeful of a really good run today with Rossa Ryan (who rode her at Ascot) returning to the saddle too.
